“Life Pulse”
The whole city resonates with the life pulse of ancient times. As we walk, sit, live and die in this space, we acknowledge that many spirits of the past exist here as well. The sitting grounds, the battle grounds, the eating places (middens) can be brought to life by our imaginations. This painting represents my feelings of respect for the past. The veins of the country are embedded in ancient history rhymes. The song lines of existence and cultural connections prevail to this day in a very different form to what was existing here pre-colonisation.
