"In a world where people are being displaced from their homes, I want to create something that is emblematic of being safe and secure in a modern society" - Bronwyn Bancroft.

Bronwyn Bancroft was commissioned in 2015 to create a painting to commemorate the 50th anniversary of International House, the University of Sydney, in 2017. ‘Home’ focuses on themes of family, friendship and cross-cultural learning, all of which are central to the identity and ethos of International House.

This commission was made possible due to the generosity of the artist, and International House is both deeply grateful and delighted to welcome this magnificent artwork into its collection.
